This event is for teachers interested in working with students on a school garden. If you are a teacher who is interested or you know a teacher who may be interested, go to the website for more details.
Session topics will include Creating Your School Garden; Sustaining Your School Garden; Using the Outdoor Classroom to Tie Learning to Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards; Creating a Pollinator Garden; Growing Vegetables with Kids; Teaching Nutrition and Healthy Eating In the School Garden; and Worm Composting, among others. Other presentations, demonstrations, workshops, exhibits, resources, prizes, free plants and other goodies will complete a fun and informative day. A continental breakfast and lunch are included in the registration fee. |
