The 2011 Master Gardener Calendar will be available starting in October and continuing through the holiday season.

Each month of the new year is marked by beautiful photographs of plants and wildlife taken by San Diego Master Gardeners in their own gardens.  This one of-a-kind calendar will highlight many drought-tolerant plants that thrive in San Diego. Plus special sustainable gardening and household tips every month will make it easier than ever to make those small changes around your home and garden that save time, energy and resources.

This project is co-sponsored by Evergreen Nursery, Barona Resort & Casino, Weidners’ Gardens, and Innovative Growing Solutions Inc. Many thanks to them for their support which helps further our educational efforts around the county.

The 2011 calendar is printed on recycled paper and is available in two sizes – one to hang on the wall and one to tuck in a purse or briefcase. Cost is $11, including tax.

These beautiful calendars will first be available for sale in the Marketplace of “The Informed Home Gardener,”  the Master Gardeners’ fall seminar, on Oct. 2 at the Marina Village Conference Center. For seminar details, click here. The Marketplace is open to the public as well as seminar attendees.

After Oct. 2, the 2011 calendars will be for sale on our web site, www.mastergardenerssandiego.org, and at community events where Master Gardeners have educational booths.
For more information on the calendars and quantity discounts, call (858) 431-6251.
