Shop Our Garden Marketplace at The Informed Gardener Fall Seminar

Come early for the best selection of ornamental and edible plants, bulbs, garden décor, and gently-used gardening books for sale to seminar attendees and the general public.  Sale hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cash and checks accepted; sorry no debit or credit cards.  A secure hold area will be available to store purchases while you enjoy seminar sessions.

Birdhouses are classic garden ornaments. Choose from rustic, mosaic and gourd birdhouses hand crafted by talented Master Gardeners. Buy one for a focal point or a trio to decorate your beds and borders, patio or deck. Dozens will be for sale priced at $20 to $40 each.


The Mycological Society will be selling mushroom kits that make easy and efficient to grow your own mushrooms. Cost of the kits is $10.


Mounted staghorn ferns are dramatic additions to any garden. These are grown and mounted by Master Gardeners. Prices vary according to size. A variety of plants propagated by Master Gardeners will also be for sale at attractive prices.

Note cards with artistic photos of 36 beautiful flowers are perfect for all your letter-writing needs. This elegant stationery and envelopes are printed on rich linen card stock. Buy a bundle of your favorite flower or one of each. Ideal for holiday gifts. Cost: 50 cents each.


Owl Boxes encourage these feathered beauties to reside in your neighborhood by providing them a  ”home” that  is sturdy, roomy and safe from predators. Purchasers will receive information on how and where to install the box to make it irresistible to an owl family.  Cost is $136.

Rare and unusual plants will be sold by specialty nurseries. Among them are The Grateful Shed which will feature succulents and succulent containers, and Garden Glories Nursery which will sell new and unusual perennials. Green Elephant Sale will feature rare and unusual, as well as common and gently used items available at bargain prices. Come see the vases, pots, wire containers, baskets, used tools, irrigation items and garden décor, just to name a few.
